FNE Communications is currently seeking applications for the following positions:

  • Team Leader Enterprise / Fibre Splicer
  • Attachés – preferably University students in their final year of engineering.
  • Licensed Excavator Operator with at least 3 years experience in a similar field
  • Carpenters (with at least 5 years experience in a similar field)
  • Labourers (with at least 5 years experience in a similar field)
  • Licensed Truck Driver with at least 5 years experience.

Team Leader Enterprise/ Fibre Splicer 

As a Team Leader in the Telecommunications industry, specializing in Fiber Optics, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing a team of technicians and engineers involved in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of fiber optic networks. Your leadership skills and technical expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality fiber optic solutions.


Team Management:

Lead and supervise a team of fiber optic technicians and engineers.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
Allocate resources effectively and ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.

Project Planning and Execution:

Collaborate with the project managers to plan and execute fiber optic projects.
Coordinate with other teams and departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.

Technical Expertise:

Possess in-depth knowledge of fiber optic technology, components, and installation techniques.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members.

Quality Assurance:

Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards in fiber optic installations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to improve processes and procedures.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and ensure that team members adhere to safety guidelines.
Conduct On the Job training sessions and promote a culture of safety within the team.


Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Generate reports on project status, team performance, and other relevant metrics.


Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in fiber optics installation, maintenance, and project management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in fiber optic technology.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:
Certifications in fiber optic technology (e.g., CFOT – Certified Fiber Optic Technician).
Experience with fiber optic testing equipment and tools.
Familiarity with GIS and network design software.
