Job Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Processing Training Supervisor, within our People Department – Training Section. Reporting to the Training Supervisor – Operation, the primary objective of this role is to assist process plant personnel by providing timely and accurate on the job theoretical and practical training services while ensuring health, safety environment and community relations standards are set and maintained and adherence to statutory as a minimum standard.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient and cost effective use of consumables and reagents used in the Processing Plant
- Supporting the cost effective achievement study, whilst adhering to company safety, environmental, operational and engineering standards
- Identifying and reporting any maintenance items required on the plant
- Ensuring shift production targets and KPI are met or exceeded
- Ensuring processing procedures, standards and policies are understood and adhered to by Process Personnel
- Ensuring timely and effective two-way communication of workplace information required to effectively perform processing functions, making reference to Supervisors and other key employees when sensitive or critical situations arise
- Participating as key member of the Processing Team by providing input into initiatives, strategies, standards and policies
- Actively participating in identifying and reporting potential environmental hazards
- Ensuring that all employees and contractors comply with the Environmental Management Plan and the company’s community relations policies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
- Minimum 5+ years relevant experience ideally within the mining processing section
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field of study highly desirable
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- NTC accredited trainer or equivalent
- Proven planning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Proficient in MS Application – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills
- A strong work ethic and safety focus
- Possessed valid and current PNG driving license
The above role is Hidden Valley Mine based.
