The ACK Wakaya Club & Spa is a five star exclusive boutique island resort situated on Wakaya Island, Lomaiviti. We are offering an exciting and rewarding opportunity for individuals for the following positions, the successful applicants will be based on the Island.
Sous Chef
We are seeking a highly motivated Sous Chef to implement the standards and the culinary vision of our Executive Chef.
The applicant must have prior knowledge of the principles and techniques within the culinary profession, with a working knowledge of modern food presentation. Knowledge in food costing skills, cost controls, inventory and forecast needs. Also be able to maintain and follow all local Health Department food preparation codes and regulations.
Applicants should possess good management skills, be detail-oriented, exhibit initiative and creativity and possess the ability to manage and motivate team members. Clear oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills are a must, and computer literacy (MS Excel and Word) preferred.
Must excel in a high volume and a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work in multiple dining and bar locations.
Applicants with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, with 5-star hospitality experience and a cando attitude and willingness to learn from our Executive Chef need only apply.
