Reporting to the Head of Shared Services – Pacific, This role is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management of the company, to include the development of a financial strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

  • Manage the day to day accounting functions for the assigned market and ensure all costs are approved in line with budget and company policy
  • Responsible for closing month end for the assigned market and attending to all deliverables in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the budgeting and forecasting process for the assigned market
  • Monitor banking activities of the organization and ensure there is adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s needs
  • Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the EBITDA targets without jeopardizing the financial integrity and governance
  • Reviewing the Pacific markets reconciliations and ensuring Balance Sheet trackers are completed on a timely basis
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements
  • Working closely with the team to ensure all SSC finance departments meet their reporting timelines
  • Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all internal and external audits are passed with satisfactory ratings
  • Maintain good relations with members of the team as well as the markets and provide necessary training to the financial reporting team
  • Participate in developing new business opportunities and implement operational best practices.
  • Assisting with ad hoc requests

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skill a required for this role:

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Management
  • CPA qualification preferred
  • Qualified accountant with minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong people management skills
  • Experience of high volume transactions environment
  • Efficient and organised person
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
