Job brief
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Guard to join our team to conduct on-site store surveillance and carry out general security duties as a front-line Security Guard.
Responsibilities
- Provide security services through the operation of various security systems and patrolling.
- Responding to and managing emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas and the surrounding grounds through physical patrols and by monitoring various security systems.
- Observe, investigate, and remedy possible breaches of security, criminal code violations, fire and safety hazards, illegal entry, and theft.
- Inform designated authorities in the event of security, safety, or health emergencies.
- Screen unauthorized persons/staff and may be required to escort and/or physically remove offenders and trespassers.
- Record and maintain logbooks of daily activities, unusual or special occurrences, and issuance of equipment.
- Record complaints, conduct investigations, and prepare incident reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security-related field
- Can Read and Write.
- Knowledge of legal and investigative processes
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Experience managing emergency situations and high-risk events
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
