Job Overview

CJ Patel (Pacific) Limited (CJPP) is the commercial arm of the Group responsible for sales, marketing, warehousing, logistics & supply chain and credit control. CJPP represents many iconic local and international brands in Fiji and the Pacific. The Company has its main warehouse in Wailekutu, Lami supported by branch operations in Lautoka and Labasa ensuring comprehensive National Coverage and extensive distribution network with major supermarkets, food service industries and down-the-line (DTL) retailers.We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Sales Manager who can add value to the business in a challenging environment. The position is based in Lae, Papua New Guinea.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for sales strategy and execution, driving profitable growth and business development.

  • Lead and manage sales and marketing strategies with the team members to achieve set targets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Manage recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of the sales team
  • Prepare and present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board

Experience and Attributes:

  • Proven work experience of at least 5 years as a Sales Manager or similar leadership role within FMCG sector
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Familiar with regional sales environment and market
  • Experience managing a high-performance sales team
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude

Remuneration:
