Job Overview

CJ Patel (Pacific) Limited, Fiji’s largest distributor of locally manufactured and imported Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company seeks to recruit dynamic, resourceful and   performance-oriented Sales Managers who can add value to the business in a challenging environment. The positions are based in Papua New Guinea and Samoa.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for sales strategy and execution, driving profitable growth and business development.

  • Lead and manage sales and marketing strategies with the team members to achieve set targets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Manage recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales team
  • Prepare and present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board

Experience and Attributes:

  • Proven work experience of at least 5 years as a Sales Manager or similar leadership role within FMCG sector
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Familiar with regional sales environment and market
  • Experience managing a high-performance sales team
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
