Job Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Rubber Liners for our Fixed Plant Maintenance –OLC & Crusher Department. Reporting to the Belt Specialist. The successful applicant’s core objective is to safely perform preventative maintenance and repairs of fixed plant equipment. Safely perform corrosion control maintenance and repairs on all fixed plant structures, tanks, equipment and fixtures etc. around the Hidden valley plant site.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Develop Job Safety & Environmental Analysis(JSEA) for each task and work within the team environment
- Sandblasting and painting of structural areas and tanks
- Utilise the Danger Tag and isolation procedures
- Identify and report unsafe or defective tooling and equipment to Supervisor
- Wear the appropriate PPE for the given task
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area
- Have the ability to evaluate equipment damage and to assess the extent of repair required
- Report all incidents and accidents to your immediate supervisor
- Provide informative handovers to supervisors or other trades persons
- Capable of locating, reading and understanding repair procedures, technical data and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Actively participate in the development of on the job training plans
- Provide accurate and concise written feedback on work orders as regards hours of work, work performed, parts used and status of job or equipment condition
- Ensure all tooling is returned to proper location on completion of tasks
- Understand workers are responsible for preventing injuries and foster a proactive attitude in their co-workers
- Be an active participant during safety meetings and workplace inspections
- Bring safety issues to the attention of the supervisor as soon as they are recognised
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
- Tradesman certificate/ Tradesman belt splicer/Certificate 3 rubber lining
- 5 years’ experience in the mining, construction or heavy industrial environment
- Experienced in sand blasting and spray painting
- Certificate in Safety and Basic First Aid Training
- Prepared to work on flexible company rooster and vary working hours as required to accomplish the company’s goals and objectives
- Basic working knowledge of computerized maintenance systems
- Must be willing to train and coach others
- Good communication & technical skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Must have good planning, organizational skills
- Must be safety focused
The above role is Hidden Valley Mine Site based
