Job Summary:
Turtle Island Resort, an iconic private island resort in the Yasawas is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resort Manager to join our dynamic team and take charge of delivering exceptional service and managing daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the resort with the goal of delivering the most memorable experience to our guests
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty
- Maintain high standards of service quality, cleanliness and safety
- Recruit, train and mentor a diverse team of staff members
- Monitor financial performance, control costs and maximize revenue opportunities
- Collaborate with the marketing team to drive sales and promote the resort
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and local community stakeholders
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Minimum of 12 Years experience in hotel/resort management
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in tourism, hospitality, business, management or related field is preferable
- Minimum of 3 employer references
- Extensive experience in delivering 5-star hospitality service
- Ability to train staff on delivering very high standards of customer service
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
- Inspiring and strong leadership skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision making abilities
- Highest professional standards with a great work ethic
- Ability to work in a remote location for months at a time
- Ability to work long flexible hours
- Ability to host and interact warmly with affluent and well-travelled guests
Position is island based. Attractive remuneration based on experience and qualifications.
