We seek applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following position;
This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and requires highly motivated individual possessing a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the similar role. The ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications and attributes.
Diploma in Business/Accounting from a recognized Institution
Minimum 2-3years experience in the similar field preferable in a 4-5 Star Resort.
Must be computer literate, competency in MS Excel, MS Word and with arithmetic skills
Is attentive to report submissions within indicated deadlines
Work closely with department heads concerning expensive purchases, which are ordered in conformance with budget requirements.
Maintain file of catalogue and descriptive literature on all hotel equipment supplies
Keep informed of current development in the field of purchasing prices, market conditions and new products.
Supervise the inspection of all supplies, services and equipment purchased to ensure conformance with specifications.
Ability to recommend standards of quality and price
Responsible for the purchasing of supplies required for the efficient operation of the resort. This will include miscellaneous items and equipment known as “general stores” for POMEC department.
Maintains close liaison with all departments and be knowledgeable as equipment and supplies are concerned.
