Job Overview

Credit Corporation (PNG) Limited seeks a highly talented person to fill in the role of Public Area Cleaner for Era Dorina & Era Matana Estate. This is a short-term role and is based in Port Moresby NCD.

The role will be responsible to ensure the cleanliness in common/public areas in both Era Dorina & Era Matana Estates and must be maintained to standards of Credit Corporation Properties and tenants’ expectations.

Outline of duties:

  • Keep common areas clean always.
  • Keep both offices in Era Dorina Units 1 & 2 clean and set with amenities.
  • Sanitizing of Furniture’s, in common areas in all Stages of Era Dorina and Era Matana Estate.
  • Vacuum carpets, floors and appropriate areas that require vacuum.
  • Mopping floors
  • Wiping and dusting walls, skirtings, ceiling fans and glasses
  • Washing down bathroom and rest rooms
  • Setting paper rolls, hand soap, hand sanitizers in offices and rest rooms
  • Washing down of all stage’s common areas, cleaning BBQ grills and equipments.
  • Sanitizing all gym equipment
  • Keeping carparks clean and clear for parking.
  • Wiping and shining the elevators
  • Wiping and dusting the corridors, staircases, hallways and free of dust and dirt.
  • Making sure all floor rags are washed clean, dry and placed appropriately in the storeroom.

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities: – Era Dorina & Era Matana Estates

  • Report health and safety hazards to Housekeeping Supervisors
  • Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire emergency procedures, assembly areas and know how to operate safety equipment (fire extinguisher).
  • Beware of duty care and adhere to occupational health and safety policies.
  • Report incidents and accident to your department safety rep or manager.

Other duties

  • Other related tasks assigned by Housekeeping Supervisors and Executive Housekeeper as and when required.

Key Competencies

  • Experienced working in a commercial residental setting.
  • Good/Excellent cleaning skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative to carry out required tasks
  • Good english communication or at least knows tokpisin.
  • A person with people and hospitality skills.
  • Able to work well with staff, others, in a commercial residential environment or similar

Formal Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate/Certificate in Hospitality or similar setting.
