Reporting to the Manager Strategic Sourcing, the Procurement Partner is in charge of managing the day-to-day procurement activities for the company including negotiating with suppliers for ‘best value for money’, including but not limited to raising requisitions in the Advance Requisition Manager (ARM) system, making sure that proper inventory management is in place, managing requisitions and Purchase Orders, and facilitating requests for customs clearance processes.
The Procurement Partner will provide assistance in the core activities of the Procurement Specialist and work collaboratively with business users to achieve business objectives, provide advice and contribute to decision making.
Assist the Procurement Specialists and other members of the Strategic Sourcing team with planning the procurement activities of the Company.
Take direct responsibility for day-to-day buying & sourcing activities including liaising with departments to understand requirements, sourcing suppliers and negotiating prices including value adds, and making recommendations for approval, and managing the logistics for delivery and payment.
Monitor inventory levels by assessing stock turn over and make appropriate replenishments to avoid nil stock situations.
Liaise with freight and customs agents on inbound and outbound consignments.
Develop good working relationships with vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Business and/or Finance.
To hold CIPS Qualification would be an added advantage.
At least 3 years of work experience in procurement support roles.
