Pricing Analyst

The role of Pricing Analyst is to execute strategic and competitive pricing policies. The successful incumbent is also required to analyse and provide insights for negotiation of SPA’s (Special Prorate Agreement), Codeshare Agreements and Frequent Flyer Agreements with partner airlines. This role reports to the Manager Pricing.


  • Analyses proposals from regions and provide justifications for recommending approval or disapproval.
  • Consult with Revenue Management Team on booking class allocation and periods of travel.
  • File all approved fares accurately using the ATPCO fare filing tool or Amadeus Fare Xpert filing platform in a timely manner.
  • Communicate approved published fares and tariffs to Finance, Yield Management, Reservations, Marketing and E-commerce.
  • Analyze performance of all published fare initiatives and provide reports to regions.
  • Review Fiji Airways Group structure fares annually and recommend necessary changes.
  • Conduct regular fare audits to ensure that all published fares are filed correctly and auto pricing.
  • Utilize Fare Class Optimization tool to provide RBD valuation approach and Allocate correct RBD to fares so that the value of each RBD is consistent regardless of origin & POS.
  • Conduct regular reviews of competitor activity across the network by mining data from various electronic data sources and input from local offices to maintain a continuous watch on competitor pricing and implement pricing changes to maintain market share.
  • Recommend and implement pricing strategies to ensure that Fiji Airways Group remains competitive.
  • Maintain the communication of all tax updates to all relevant parties and implement measures to update all changes to relevant IATA/DOT regulations.
  • Coordinate sign-off of all partnership agreements with relevant analysis supporting the need for these agreements.
  • Analyze, recommend and implement ancillary pricing.


  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Finance & Management or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in an analytical related role will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Amadeus, passenger fares and ticketing will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to work well in high-pressure situations and display high level of accuracy.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and willing to adapt quickly to new learning environment.
  • Good organizational and problem solving skills to deliver high quality results to tight timelines.
  • Ability to influence and challenge key stakeholders.
  • Possess great interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels in the organization.
