Job Overview
The Ramada Resort by Wyndham is seeking two suitable candidates to join the Front Office team. The positions are vacant for two male Porter/Driver.
Primarily responsible to greet and welcome all guest to the hotel and relieve guests of their luggage on arrival and assist with room service when requested. You will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times, and that all guest requests are dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner.
In addition to assist guests with luggage and room service, porters are also responsible to drive company vehicles for company business as well as dealing with general enquiries and ensuring the lobby and driveway areas are always clean and tidy.
PORTER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be present at the Reception desk or in the lobby to be ready to assist guests, colleagues and visitors when requested.
- Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
- Tag luggage on arrival and remove airline tags, return luggage identification slips to guests.
- Assists guests with luggage to and from the front desk.
- When showing the guests to their room, informs guests of suite amenities
- Delivers messages, packages and flowers to guest’s rooms and other offices.
- Assist Front Office staff on duty with their duties during busy periods and breaks.
- Assist with room service delivery
- Drive the company vehicles in a safe and alert way, taking guests to their suites, shopping for the resort, running errands for administration.
- Ensure van / vehicle are fully fuelled up.
- Report any incidents / accident to the Front Office manager.
- Perform any other works as and when assigned by the management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver’s license
- Be able to speak English and or French
- Excellent customer service skills
- Be able to work varied shifts, weekdays, weekends and holidays
