Job Overview

Pepper Advantage Hub (Fiji) is seeking a talented Payroll Specialist who can work closely with the Head of HR to deliver an annual set of Payroll objectives, which are then planned and delivered to meet the customer expectations. Accountable for the processing and running of Payroll activities.  Work with Managers to provide an effective and efficient service to the business.  Provide best practice advice, support manager and employees in all Payroll issues/policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • First line support to employees and managers both face to face and on the telephone.
  • Producing reports and statistics.
  • Support Head of Human Resources with specific Payroll related projects.
  • Deliver an effective service in Payroll and Administration.
  • Working with Managers to provide an effective and efficient service to the business.
  • Providing best practice advice, supporting manager and employees in all Payroll issues/policies
  • Stay abreast of all regulations in UK. Monitor changes and update policies to meet statutory requirements.
  • Prepare Payroll Reporting.
  • Support internal communication, culture and policy.
  • Liaising with the Payroll provider on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Preparing and submitting payroll information to the payroll provider.
  • Managing and documenting payroll records.
  • Communicating with HMRC.
  • Processing P11D’s and any taxation forms.
  • Answering Payroll, Benefits and Pension queries.

  • Shares information with staff regularly and as it becomes available.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Bright, confident personality, well presented, highly personable.
  • Flexible and mature approach with ability to work unsupervised.

Required Skills

  • Candidate needs to be flexible in terms of working hours (Ideally from 8 pm to 4.30 am FJT)
  • Able to coordinate payroll with the local payroll agency.
  • Able to resolve employee queries.
  • Must demonstrate team player attributes.
  • A good general understanding of payroll and benefits.
  • Self-confidence.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Be a fluent English speaker.
