Malolo Island Fiji is an intimate Fiji island resort located in the Mamanuca group of islands.  The resort comprises 47 bures, 3 dining outlets, three bars, a boutique, kids club, spa, activities and two swimming pools.

We are now seeking a dedicated, career minded industry professional with outstanding knowledge, expertise and experience to join our dynamic management team.

Operations Manager

This is a senior management position reporting directly to the Malolo Resort Manager and Ahura Resorts Group General Manager. This person will be responsible for the day to day operational aspects of the resort and will act on behalf of the Resort Manager during his absence.  The successful applicant will need to be hands on, enthusiastic, an innovative team builder and motivator with demonstrable human relations skill gained in international standard hotels at management level.  Problem solving skills and the ability to interact socially with guests at all levels is essential.  A good over all knowledge of Resorts operations is strongly desirable but we will also consider candidates with strong proven track record in either Food & Beverage or Front Desk/Rooms Division.  The position is ideally suited to someone who is interested in a career path to being a Resort Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in a senior management role in a 4 star resort or hotel
  • Highly developed management skills including planning, organizing, leading and controlling .
  • Formal and relevant qualifications from a recognized institute
  • Understanding of budgets, excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Computer literate with excellent skills in MS program including Opera and micros POS system
  • Proven track record and ability to train, motivate and direct staff
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Excellent grooming and presentation                                                                                     

This is a live in role with accommodation on Malolo Island. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.  Please note that only applicants with required skills sets will be considered and acknowledged.
