Job Overview

Key Tasks and Duties:

  • Develop, implement and review health and safety policies, procedures and safety management system
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment for all our locations
  • Coordinate the health and safety committees and conduct appropriate meetings to discuss and resolve issues, incidents and concerns
  • Actively participate in incident investigations, make recommendations on corrective or preventive actions and ensure all OHS matters are reported promptly
  • Maintain a safe workplace and ensure all departments and outlets are in compliance with the OHS legislations
  • Liaise with relevant authorities in respect to OHS Issues
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in the OHS field including legislation, regulations, guidelines and best practice
  • Extensively carry out training to all staff

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Significant experience in OHS and ideally HR admin or training
  • Degree in HR Management or Certificate IV in OHS preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OHS and Workers Compensation Legislations
  • Ability to make formal recommendations to senior management
  • Experience in coordinating safety systems and improvement
  • Persuasive communication, interpersonal and strong data presentation skills
  • Accredited OHS trainer certification will be an added advantage
