Job Overview
This position reports to the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a senior role that works closely with Senior Management. The Management Accountant is a key member of the Finance team tasked with supporting the financial strategies of the organization. This role is responsible for monthly management reporting, financial planning and budgeting processes as well as business partnering with various departments on profitability, sensitivity analysis and competitive analysis. You will also be tasked with driving the financial elements of annual and ad-hoc planning, budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning exercises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the financial elements of annual or ad-hoc planning, budgeting and forecasting exercises, supporting departments or business units in conjunction with the management accounting team.

Provides strong financial and analytical support to departments or business units in the delivery of financial presentations, justifications and analytical insight at all levels – sub-departmental, departmental, cross-functional, and to Board level.

Takes responsibility for the financial component of functional or cross-functional ad-hoc projects, providing support as required, based upon subject matter knowledge, regardless of department or business unit.

Deliver analysis and synthesis of complex business issues, supporting decision making, and providing direction leading to profit improvement, productivity and efficiency working directly with the departmental Executive Managers (EMs).

Recommend viable options to reduce costs, increase revenues or improve efficiency, effectiveness or economy across the business to Finance management and departmental EMs.

Complete and deliver business cases working directly with departmental EMs.

Deliver regular and ad-hoc analysis of business performance to departments and business units, including monthly financial performance commentary, to departmental or business unit’s heads.

Ensure adequate controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables i.e. ; Annual Budgets, Five years Planning, Rolling and rolling forecast

Completion of ad hoc projects and reports required by direct report, CFO, Heads of Departments and the Executive Management
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Must have a Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.

To be CPA qualified or experience qualified.

Should have 3-5 years’ working experience.

Advanced excel and analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy to present and deliver a high standard of results.

Possess excellent organisational and problem solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
