JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for suitably qualified candidates who will take on the role of Maintenance Technician Manager. The Maintenance Technician Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment within the company. The incumbent will be accountable for ensuring that all machines and equipment are in good working condition and are well-maintained to prevent any downtime or delays in production.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and lead a team of tradesmen for maintenance and project works.
- Tracking and overseeing maintenance, repairs and innovations of machinery by liaising with management, and contractors.
- Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance through supervision and issuing project cost estimates and quotations to clients.
- Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
- Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
- Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.
- Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
- Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
- Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.
- Leading the maintenance department and overseeing all maintenance processes and operations.
- Tracking expenses and managing the maintenance budget.
- Maintaining all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards and developing maintenance procedures.
- Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve problems.
- Liaise with People and Culture to screen, hire, and train staff, evaluate their performance, and recommend staff and worker promotions.
- Ensuring all department workers adhere to safety policies and procedures and assigning repair schedules.
- Planning and managing all repair and installation activities and evaluating repair cost estimates.
- Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.
- Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures for maintenance activities.
- Managing and maintaining inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance and repair activities.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance. management and continuously improving processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues quickly and effectively.
- Proficiency in MS 360 Office Suite and maintenance management software.
