Department of Electrical and Communication Engineering
Lecturer (EE0-006)
The Electrical and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department invites applications for a Lecturer position. The successful candidate should be able to teach undergraduate students and supervise postgraduate candidates. He/She will have demonstrated the ability to deliver research project results with high-quality publications and effective learning programs.
The department seeks a candidate with a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Communication Engineering with a focus on any of the following fields; power and renewable energy, communication, electronics, computer engineering, control systems, and ICT.
Candidate’s skills and attributes for success:
- A reputation in the field of electrical and communications engineering demonstrated by publication in peer-reviewed journals
- An ability to design effective learning programs and to effectively deliver integrated curricula and assessments.
- Contribution to attracting external research funding and/or other financial support.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills and high proficiency in written and oral English language.
ECE has achieved a provisional accreditation status by Engineers Australia (EA) and is working towards achieving full accreditations. The successful applicant should contribute to the Department’s drive to achieve full accreditation by 2024.
Salary Range
Lecturer II: PGK53, 519 – PGK65, 413 per annum.
International Market Allowance (IMA): PGK75, 280 – PGK90, 502 per annum
(Level of appointment depends upon qualification and experience)
