What is the job?
Reporting to the Spa Manager, the Landscaping Attendant plays an integral role to support the Spa InterContinental team and the wider hotel team.
Your day to day
- Ensure that routine maintenance is performed to the Spa grounds and landscaping.
- Creating of new gardens and planting of trees.
- Ensure that the flora & fauna at the Spa gardens is kept at its best to achieve customer and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that the Spa herb garden is well-maintained and kept at it’s best.
- Planning assigned tasks to maximize productivity and reduce wastage.
- Encourage best gardening techniques to minimize unnecessary works and wastage.
- Ensure compliance with all InterContinental Hotels Group and InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa OH&S Policy and Procedure.
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team members who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations & provide a high-level of service excellence to our resort guests. The ideal candidate is to possess the following:
- Communication skills are a significant amount of time when interacting with others, demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the Hotel, the brand and the company.
- Problem solving and organizational abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with hierarchies.
- Certificate in Professional Landscaping and/or Horticulture + Form 6 Pass or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a similar role, preferably at a 5-star resort international-brand property.
There’s so much more to the job than we can capture here. It’s simply about creating great experiences, doing the right thing and understanding people. You would have completed Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism or 1 year hotel experience in a similar role.
