Job Overview

The Junior/Staff Cook will prepare meals in accordance with food health and safety requirements, and company standards. The cook’s responsibilities include food preparation, baking and staff meals. To perform all duties necessary to ensure that the meals are properly prepared within a specified timeframe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing and assembling ingredients
  • Preparing quality meals according to recipes
  • Ensuring food portions and presentation meet standards
  • Storing food correctly
  • Monitor supplies and re-ordering stock
  • Ensure cleanliness is maintained and sanitation standards are met
  • Ensure good time management

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good knowledge of cooking methods and techniques
  • Ability to follow recipes
  • Ability to bake breads and cakes would be advantageous
  • Ability to work in a team and individually
  • Effective communication skills
  • Be willing to learn and be able to multitask

The position is island based with accommodation and meals provided. Days off arrangements are flexible.
