The Opportunity

The Forum Secretariat is looking internally to employ a suitably qualified and experienced individual to the role of Director’s Assistant, based at Operations. The Directors Assistant will be expected to provide timely and efficient secretarial and administrative support to the Director Operations, and senior members of the Operations Team, as directed.

Some key areas of responsibility will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Organisational coordination& secretarial support to the Director;
  • Executive time/diary management& research support;
  • Business partner to HR;
  • Administrative support, and
  • Public relations on behalf of Directors.

At a minimum applicants should have a Diploma in Office Administration / Management, although preference will be given to a university level Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Substantial work experience in a similar (or related) position, preferably in a regional or international organisation, will be considered an added advantage.

Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills- both verbal and written; and exceptional time management skills, with the ability to critically analyse issues. Additionally, the candidate should have sound experience in the use of Windows 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Email explorer).

The appointment carries a competitive remuneration and benefits package, including medical and life insurance. The starting salary is FJD26,581 per annum.
