Job Overview

We are seeking to recruit an Equipment Planner for our Mobile Fleet Maintenance– Planning Department. Reporting to the Senior Planner, the primary objective of this role is to improve work efficiency and quality by removing potential delays through the planning and organisation of labour, parts and equipment. The planner is responsible for the screening, planning and estimating of identified work and managing the orders in the CMMS (Pronto).

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Raise corrective work orders when faults or corrective work is required.
  • Initial screen of incoming work orders
  • Coordinate with Supervisors and Superintendents to identify work priority
  • Job walk to identify the scope of planned work
  • Estimate required hours for jobs
  • Plan work to enough details for trades to carry out the task
  • Manage major component rebuilds and major maintenance, mid-life and full rebuilds
  • Maintain Asset components in the CMMS (Pronto) and update the CMMS (Pronto) with all planning requirements
  • Utilise the Spare Parts Interpreter to identify and order parts
  • Utilise the Work Order Clerk to ensure work orders are updated with completion comments and any subsequent Work Orders are raised and to ensure work orders are closed on job completion
  • Comply with all Systems of Work requirements for the position as per document PY 182 MFM Work Management Process
  • Confirm return flights to site are true and accurate prior to departing for Field Break to ensure sufficient manning

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of similar experience in an open pit mining or heavy vehicle service environment
  • Must have trade background in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
  • Experience in planning and scheduling applications
  • Must have strong planning, analytical, technical problem solving and time management skills
  • Experience in CMMS preferably Pronto
  • Experience in data management of CMMS Systems and demonstrated ability to manage high volume of data in the CMMS systems
  • Ability to work effectively within a multicultural workforce
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and focus on task setting and tracking to completion
  • Demonstrate ability to prepare and track maintenance forecasts to a high compliance
  • Able to work effectively with team members from other departments
  • Strong self-discipline with the ability to plan, organize and is cost conscious with focus on continuous improvements
  • Must be safety focused

The above role is Hidden Valley Mine Site based
