Job Overview

A vacancy now exist for a position of Senior Administration & Finance Officer within our People Department – Community Affairs Section. Reporting to the Superintendent – Community Engagement, the primary objective of this role is to provide administrative support to the Community Affairs Management Team and assist in development of positive relationships with all stakeholders impacted by Hidden Valley activities in order to achieve program target.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Community Affairs Management team in all aspects of MOA and community affairs matters
  • Ensuring there is compliance to the Community Affairs commitment, agreement and obligations in accordance to MCG policies and strategies
  • Maintaining the community affairs filing system and document control register
  • Maintaining the database of community liaison activities and records of all persons and other engagements as directed by the CA Management
  • Recording and reporting of all monthly expenditures and resources used by the CA team
  • Maintaining register of all issues and signing of landowner agreements and other contracts related to landowner activities
  • Able to attend to other urgent tasks on short notice as directed by the CA Management
  • Assists in managing all landowners and other stakeholders mine visits
  • Ensuring that all correspondence documentation and filing is current and up-to-date

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

  • With certificate in Office Administration or relevant
  • Exposure in a senior administrative role with at least 5 years of work experience
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Pronto
  • Demonstrates high level “attention to detail” and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Prepared to work with minimum supervision and under extreme work pressure circumstances
  • Must have a class 3 or 6 driving licence
