Job Overview

Reporting to the Team Leader Groups, this role builds, maintains and enhances relationships with external group business partners in North America, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Europe by effectively managing group enquires, qoutes, bookings and ticketing that will help assist regional offices in driving optimal groups revenue.

You will be responsible for driving group sales revenue through efficient management of group policies and processes, adhering to Revenue Management policies. You will work closely with Regional Offices to come up with innovative ways and be passionate to introduce new ideas that will improve the group product to give it a competitive advantage in the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and execute group quotes that drive excellence in correspondence standards and accuracy.
  • Correctly apply relevant discounts as per approved pricing and follow up on group quotes that do not do not book within quote validity.
  • Collaborate with Route Analyst to offer best prices to price sensitive groups.
  • Communicate with relevant agents/customers/group coordinators with competitive quotes within the service level agreement (SLA).
  • Accurately create bookings as outlined in the group process and ticketing guidelines and manage groups through notification for timely follow-ups on group deposits, names and ticket payments.
  • Manage and turnaround all quote requests on a daily basis and convert quotes to booking at the earliest possible.
  • Monitor repeat offenders of group deposit deadlines and report it to the Team Leader.
  • Communicate with all clients/ agents/ customers within a 24 hour turnaround time.
  • Monitor and drive group performance against agreed SLAs and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to ensure it is met at all times.
  • Implement robust processes and measures to maintain agreed SLAs and recommend changes when implementing market driven SLAs.
  • Maintain and update group log providing insight to management on performance.
  • Assist wider Revenue performance team in projects, adhoc tasks when required.
  • Develop and communicate robust Group’s Dashboard to managements.
  • Identify risk and opportunities and collaborate with RM and Sales region in mitigating risks and taking advantage of the opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary level qualification in Commerce, Economics, Management or Business is required.
  • Knowledge of Amadeus and Fares & Ticketing of Reservations/Sales will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of Pricing and/or Revenue Accounting will be an added advantage.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Prior experience in Customer Services, Reservations, Sales or Revenue Management.
  • Should demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a small team.
  • Keen to learn and adapt quickly when working with airline systems.
  • Willing to work odd long hours and weekends due to regional time differences for Europe, USA and Australia.
