Job Overview
Brunel Papua New Guinea are seeking a Fleet Superintendent to work with one of the largest energy companies in the world, who have assets in Oil & Gas, LNG and Renewable energy.
Reporting into the HSS Director and Security Manager and you will always act in the best interests of our client, whilst adhering to Company and Affiliate Policies. Demonstrate personal commitment to HSSE and to the values and principles of the Code of Conduct. Maintain and safeguard confidential files, documents, and records as they relate to Company operations.
The purpose of the Fleet Superintendent position is to be responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal of fleet vehicles. Fleet Superintendent also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations in support project operations, personnel, and contractors.
Activities of the role:
Operations:
- Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of Fleet resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives
- Establish and monitor purchasing, operational and replacement strategies, and practices for most cost-effective operation
- Management of the company fleet vehicles, maintenance, and repair schedules
- Management of a clear and concise sanction and reward policy
- Responsible for all technical aspects of Fleet operations including GPS tracking, dashboard cameras and radio communications
- Supervise, deploy, and monitor contracted driver resources
- Prepare, deliver, and promote road safety initiatives
- Deliver regular awareness campaigns to contracted drivers
- Conduct Service Quality Meeting (SQM) with contractor
- Prepare weekly reports and any other ad-hoc reports when requested by management
- Maintain timely communications with Senior Management of incidents or developments that may result in personal injuries, interference with operations or that may cause property loss or damage
- Collaboration and liaison with the Security department to ensure anti-carjacking training and VPSHR are adhered too
- Develop and foster relationships with industry professionals
Reporting:
- Prepares weekly reports and any other ad-hoc reports when requested by the management
- Develop and keep up to date Fleet Management documentation
- Conduct Security Risk Assessments for all Fleet activities
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics discipline or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years in Transportation/ Logistics/ Operations capacity
- Experience in the extractive industries (Oil & Gas, mining) but not essential
- Good level of interpersonal and communications skills
- Good reporting skills
- Fluent in written & Spoken English
- Fully conversant with relevant legislation, Company Rules (Referential), and best practices
