Fixed Base Operations Duty Manager- (Nadi)

An exciting opportunity exists within the Ground Operations – Nadi Station.

The Operations Duty Manager – Nadi is responsible for marketing, sales and handling of private aircraft and off-schedule operators into and out of our Fiji ports. The MFBO works in line with targets defined on an annual Budgeted Revenue including the need to develop an ongoing portfolio of prospects that will develop into a profitable business unit and long term.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Point of contact for all FBO queries, quotes and facilitation.
  • Collaborates with Internal and External stakeholders on charter quotes, setup and execution.
  • An entrepreneurial and creative thinker who identifies and proactively seeks opportunities to grow the business in new and existing markets, and to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Keeps up to date with competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
  • Visits potential clients with a view to generating further business.
  • Represents Fiji Airways and Fiji Link at trade exhibitions, events and networking events with a view to identifying further business opportunities.
  • Liaises with Regional Managers in other countries to identify sales leads and business opportunities.
  • Works closely with Fiji Airways Marketing Department to maximize sales and marketing efforts.
  • Provides accurate ground handling quotes for customers.
  • Ensures accuracy and manages all details of FBO bookings from quoting stage through booking process, as well as invoicing and post flight follow-up.
  • Maintains positive relationships with all customers at the highest customer standards.
  • Maintains accurate and timely database management for customer information.
  • Provides a monthly report on all charter activity to internal stakeholders.
  • Responds promptly to all sales inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Diploma in the area of sales, marketing or business management or the equivalent, with strong academic performance.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant Sales/Marketing and/or Ground Handling field is required.
  • Proven experience with customer complaint handling is essential.
  • Aviation experience: knowledge of geography, aircraft types and performance is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of airline products and marketing strategies.
  • Solid computer skills and proficient in MS Office software.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas through a range of media to various audiences, internally and externally.
  • Articulate with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Verbal and written fluency in English required.
  • The ability to influence others, to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility, tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven experience of relationship management with key clients.
