Financial Controller- Fiji
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management of the company, to include the development of a financial strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop financial, tax strategies and performance measures that support the company’s strategies direction.
- Manage the capital request, budgeting processes and day to day accounting functions for the assigned market.
- Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the revenue and EBITDA targets without jeopardizing the financial integrity and governance.
- Participate in developing new business opportunities and implement operational best practices.
- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
- Train the Finance team and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters
- Monitor banking activities of the organization and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s needs
- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the company including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to group finance and external parties.
- Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all internal and external audits are passed with satisfactory ratings
Academic qualifications, Experience & Skill a required for this role:
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Management
- CPA qualification preferred
- Qualified accountant with minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
