Job Overview

Fiji Airways is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Finance Specialist Refunds. Reporting to the Team Leader Revenue (Refunds), you will play an important role within the finance department as you support the refunds processing team in efficiently and accurately handling customer refunds and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


  • Review refund applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter refund data into financial systems and maintain accurate records of refund transactions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to refunds, providing timely and accurate information on refund status and processing timelines.
  • Assist in resolving refund-related disputes and issues in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Assist in reconciling refund transactions with financial records and bank statements to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies or potential issues related to refunds processing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and refund processing procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the refunds processing function.
  • Collaborate with the refunds processing team, finance teams, customer service, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth refunds processing and customer satisfaction.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant coursework or internships in finance or accounting are advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of financial transactions, refunds processing principles, and customer service standards.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools, including MS Excel and data entry systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems, tools, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
