Job Overview

Background Information

The Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO) is the mandated organization representing Tourism in the region. It has 21 Government Members and about 100 Private Sector Members. SPTO’s mission is to ensure “Sustainable tourism development through innovative partnerships” whilst its vision is for the Pacific islands’ to be empowered by and benefitting from sustainable tourism.

Objective:

The overall objective of this assignment is to engage a Tahiti based professional photographer to capture high- quality images at a series of events from 16th – 20th October, 2023, in Papeete, Tahiti.

This will support the advocacy and engagement activities surrounding the events.

Scope of Work:

At a minimum, the Consultant is required to attend and deliver professional photography services at the following:

Monday 16th October

  • SPTO Board of Directors Meeting, 9am, Hilton Hotel: 2 hours
  • Pacific Sustainable Tourism Leadership Summit opening etc, exact time to be confirmed, Hilton Hotel: 2 hours
  • Official Function with private sector, exact time to be confirmed, Assembly of French Polynesia: 2 hours

Tuesday 17th October

  • Sustainable Tourism Partnerships Forum, exact time to be confirmed, Hilton Hotel: 2 hours
  • Official Welcome Function, exact time to be confirmed, Presidency of French Polynesia: 2 hours

Wednesday 18th October

  • Cruise Summit, exact time to be confirmed, Presidency of French Polynesia: 2 hours

Friday 20th October

  • SPTO Council of Tourism Ministers Meeting, 9am, Presidency of French Polynesia: 2 hours
  • Official Closing Function, exact time to be confirmed, Aranui Cruise Ship: 2 hours

Consultancy Work and Reporting Arrangements

The photographer shall work in close collaboration with SPTO’s Regional Advocacy Communications Officer.

Work Schedule & Budget

  • All Expressions of Interest (EOI) submitted for this assignment should include a detailed work schedule and itemized costing for the scope of work and deliverables. Costs must be broken down into professional hourly fees and other out of pocket expenses inclusive of tax.
  • The period of consultancy shall be as per dates noted above.
  • The EOI shall also indicate a timeline for submission of images to SPTO, noting the need to support the real time advocacy and engagement efforts planned for the week. With that in mind, images should be submitted in a timely manner.
  • The key milestones and indicative timelines shall be discussed and agreed with the successful consultant and SPTO prior to the commencement of this assignment.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • The selected consultant will have the relevant qualifications and/or experience
