Vacancy: Executive Sous Chef
Location: Ramada Resort Port Vila, Vanuatu

Ramada Resort Port Vila is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Sous Chef to join our Culinary Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a dynamic resort environment and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the overall management of kitchen operations
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all food offerings
  • Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations
  • Assist with menu planning, costing, stock control, and minimizing wastage
  • Step into the Executive Chef role in their absence and ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a hotel or resort environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of international and Pacific/Island cuisine (advantageous)
  • Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
