Job Overview
Our collection of three iconic beach resorts; Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort, The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium and Sanctuary Rarotonga – on the beach has an exciting opening for a qualified and experienced Executive Chef based on the capital island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands.
This is a hands-on position that would suit a hardworking Executive Chef with at least five years in this position. You will take ownership of the kitchens of all three resorts to express your creativity and managerial skills.
The successful applicant will be experienced in all aspects of the kitchen operation and able to produce a quality cuisine in small remote islands. A knowledge of menu engineering is a must as is your ability to adapt to island life.
Experience in a comparable isolated location or a private island resort, particularly in the South Pacific, will be an advantage.
We offer a 2 year contract and salary is dependent upon experience.
Couples considered, if your partner also has experience in resorts, e.g. Spa Therapist, Restaurant Manager/Supervisor, Chef, Reception, Accounting etc.
