Job Overview

This position reports to the Manager Crew Resources and the Crew Rostering Coordinator ensures that all flight crew rosters are efficient published in accordance with regulatory and Company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures that rosters are produced in accordance with CAAF and company regulations, safeguarding all line training, line checks, regulatory checks and all other recurrent ground trainings is adhered.
  • Repairs and re-plan disrupted events during the day of operation that cannot be handled by the crew controllers.
  • Plans simulator trainings for pilots every six months and coordinate with simulator providers for booking of best suitable slots for crew.
  • Liaise with training team to ensure that crew are utilized efficiently and in a cost effective manner.
  • Collates requirements for all recurrent training produced from Rostering Software and ensure that all crew are planned at least a month before the expiry date for all relevant training.
  • Controls all planned, nonflying activities and make provision for adequate crew coverage.
  • Plans and coordinates hotel bookings for all the crew in advance to ensure crew have rooms available as various ports while on duty.
  • Constant liaise with Operation Control Centre Administration Assistant with booking of deadhead tickets for crew and coordinate with Revenue Management on confirmation of crew ticket bookings.
  • Liaises with Aviation Safety instructors and ground trainers for the monthly ground training schedule.
  • Carries out quality checks pertaining to rosters prior to publication and ensure that rosters are legal and compliant with Fatigue Risk Management System.
  • Liaises with Commercial Department to ensure any changes to the flying program are captured, incorporated and managed with minimal disruption to the crew schedule.
  • Produces reports as required from Rostering Software (AIMS) regarding duty hours, flying hours, sickness and leave.
  • Provides feedback to the Manager Crew Resources on any improvements to the creation of crew pairings with a sharp focus on costs, efficiency and productivity for current and new schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma In Business Management or related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ airline experience or two (2) years in a similar working environment.
  • In depth knowledge of regulatory rules affecting crew resources planning including Flight Time Duty Limitations (FTDL), Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS) and Flight crew industrial agreements.
  • Knowledge of crew resource software applications.
