Job Overview

We are seeking to recruit a Contracts Supervisor, within our Commercial Department – Contracts Section. Reporting to the Contracts Superintendent-Services, the successful applicant will work collaboratively with Contract Owners and Superintendents to effectively implement and continuously improve the contract management functions and processes for Services Contracts to deliver optimal value for money.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Provide support and advice to internal stakeholders on the process and procedures for establishing services contracts
  • Review, assess and provide advice on the scope of work/specifications, cost details and schedule for undertaking new contracts and variation requests
  • Guide and assist contract owners in implementing the contract management plan for high-value service contracts
  • Schedule and facilitate kick-off meetings, monthly contract review meetings with contract owners and contractors
  • Record and distribute contract meeting minutes
  • Review contract compliance, performance monitoring and reporting
  • Monitor and analyse contract expenditure performance against budget for high-value service contracts
  • Assess and process all services contract payment claims in accordance with the contract
  • Collate and provide weekly and monthly reports
  • Coordinate and resolve contractual issues arising from disputes, risks, claims in a timely manner or escalate as appropriate
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with the company’s policies and procedures

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

  • Minimum 7+ years relevant experience ideally within the mining, oil and gas, construction industry
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field of study highly desirable
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge in contract management is essential
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
  • Proven problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience with PRONTO ERP System will be an advantage
  • A strong work ethic and safety focus

The above role is Hidden Valley Mine based.
