Job Overview
We are currently seeking to recruit a Project Supervisor for our Fixed Plant Maintenance (FPM) – Projects Department. Reporting to the Project Superintendent the successful applicant will mainly be responsible for safely supervise project crews and contractors working on Fixed Plant Maintenance Projects.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Lead the team to complete maintenance and repair tasks in an appropriate timeframe
- Control work flow to fully utilize equipment under repair
- Coach and manage compliance with site standard operating procedures and practices
- Be accountable for the day to day running of specific work area
- Attend planning meetings for weekly schedule and shutdown meetings
- Utilise and champion Harmony MCG’s safety and procedures
- Capable of locating, reading and understanding technical drawings, repair procedures, technical data and MSDS Data Sheets
- Perform maintenance tasks on crushing, conveying, floatation and pumping equipment
- Maintain all tooling and proper storage when not in use
- Provide accurate and concise written feedback on work orders, with history notes on hours worked, work performed, parts used and status of job or equipment condition
- Participate in the development of employee training plans
- Provide informative handovers to supervisor or other trades persons
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
- Be certified in a relevant field of Trade
- Certificate in Surface Preparation & Coating Application is Desirable
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the mining, construction or heavy industry
- Broad experience in all facets of Crushing, Conveying, Grinding and Processing equipment maintenance and repair
- Exposure to Pronto work management systems
- Demonstrate supervisory abilities
- Have basic computer skills in MS Excel, Word & Outlook
- Strong planning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Well-developed coaching & mentoring skills
- Demonstrate matured approach and strong self-discipline
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organisation skills
- Sound written and oral communication skills, in English and Tok Pisin
The above role is Hidden Valley mine site based
