Commis Chef
Fiji Airways is looking to recruit talented and ambitious Commis Chefs to join the team at our Fiji Airways Premier Lounge. You will assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment under the guidance of the Chef De Partie.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards and carefully prepare orders with a sense of urgency.

Check all food is stored, handled and prepared to meet current food health and hygiene regulations.

Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintain basic dietary and allegiant knowledge.

Monitor daily kitchen food and product requirements and advise stock requisitions.

Monitor food preparation and wastage costs and control these by following efficient preparation methods and standard recipes.

Contributes exceptional product knowledge to promote the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge and Fiji Airways products and assists guests with enquiries.

Undertakes general or special duties as required by the Duty Manager, F& B Supervisor or Lounge Manager.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Minimum of Certificate in Catering Level 3.

At least 1-year experience in an established hotel.

A good understanding of restaurant buffet and a la carte operations.

Simple HACCP knowledge.

Willingness to learn.

Ability to work any shift pattern and flexible with working hours.

Capable of working as part of a team and unsupervised.

Confident working with a multi-cultural guest base.

Well-groomed and high standard of personal presentation and personal hygiene.
