Job Overview
  1. Salary Range*: $19,041.75-$24,412.00 (BAND E)
    *Additional performance payments may be available for our highest performers, in accordance with the Public Service Commission guidelines
  2. Contract Term: 3 years
  3. Duty Station: Suva- There may be a requirement to travel regionally or internationally.
  4. Reporting Responsibilities:
    a) Reports To: Manager Passport and Citizenship
    b) Liaises With: Internal and External Stakeholders.
    c) Subordinates: Immigration Inspector, citizenship

The position ensures the effective and efficient processing of Registration of Spouse Citizenship applications and issuance of Citizenship certificates in accordance with the Citizenship of Fiji Act, 2009 and governing policies.

The position will achieve its purpose through the following;

  1. Effective and timely processing of Citizenship related application within its deadline
  2. Provide timely advice on all Citizenship queries by the general public and stake holders.
  3. Ensure to maintain, update and report the Citizenship statistics processed on monthly and quarterly
  4. Promote easy communication channel between co-workers and Superiors.
  5. Ensure to maintain, update and register all Citizenship application daily.
  6. Provide accurate reporting system and ensure effective and efficient system usage
  7. Actively contribute to all requirements, including planning, budgeting and corporate/ Human
    Resource Management activities as required.


  1. All reports are submitted within the agreed timeframes and meet the standard reporting requirements,
    including analyses of data and recommendations for improvements; and

  3. Work in Compliance with the current legislation in relevance to referral duties, facilitation and ensuring
    public’s adherence to immigration laws.

In addition to a Degree in Management and Public Administration or other relevant qualification (or
equivalent work experience) the following Knowledge Skills, Experience and Abilities are required to
undertake this role.


  1. At least 2 years work experience in a high level administration position
  2. Sound practical work experience working with external customers
  3. Sound knowledge and understanding of Immigration Legislation applicable to Fiji.


  1. Good communication skills ( verbal and written) skills and the ability to tactfully deal with
  2. Ability to follow guidelines and meet set timeframes
  3. Good interpersonal and representational skills
  4. Demonstrated ability to write and produce effective reports
  5. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
  6. Capacity to utilize computer programs to support daily operations
  7. Service oriented approach, with a commitment to supporting the operational and corporate
    environment of the organization.
