Carpenters Motors, a division of Carpenters Fiji Pte Limited and a recognized leader in the Motoring Industry in Fiji, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the role of Wheel Alignment Technician be based at our Carpenters Motors- Tyre Centre, Nadi. - Conduct visual inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues with wheel alignment.
- Use diagnostic tools to assess the current alignment status.
- Perform wheel alignment adjustment based on manufacturer specifications.
- Adjust wheel angles such as camber, caster and toe to ensure proper alignment.
- Operate alignment machines and other specialized tools to measure and adjust wheel alignment accurately.
- Conduct test drives or use computerized equipment to verify the effectiveness of alignment adjustments.
- Diagnose and identify suspension or steering components that may affect wheel alignment.
- Recommend additional repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of alignment specifications, adjustments made, and any additional services performed.
- Communicate with customers to understand and address their concerns regarding vehicle handling or alignment issues.
- Provide explanations of alignment procedures and recommendation for additional services if necessary.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of alignment work performed, meeting industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines for the proper use of tools and equipment.
- Adhere to established procedures of wheel alignment and other related services.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in wheel alignment techniques.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with other automotive technicians and service advisors to coordinate alignment service with overall vehicle maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance on alignment equipment to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
- Identify opportunities for improving efficiency in the wheel alignment process.
- Educated customers on the importance of proper wheel alignment and its impact on vehicle performance, safety and tire longevity.
- Form 6 pass or Having Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience in Automotive industry or similar role.
- Technical knowledge of wheel alignment.
- Vehicle mechanical knowledge.
- Problem solving skills.
- Customers service skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
