Cargo Analyst

Fiji Airways is looking to recruit an experienced individual with commendable skills to fill the role of Cargo Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Intelligence, the successful incumbent will prepare historical and forecasted projections for the Cargo function of the business. You will also provide insight to the Global Cargo team using the CHAMP Cargo system, and drive initiatives towards efficient use of the data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and Interpret Performance Reports, Data and presentations for the Freight team.
• Prepare the Fiji Airways Group Freight Revenue Budget in consultation with all stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development, review and coordination of performance reporting for cargo operations strategic plans.
• Prepare and maintain the Budget Assumptions document.
• Forecasts Weekly Cargo Revenue and Weight Uplift based on demand in global market.
• Conduct analysis of various performance reports to assist in driving performance.
• Collate relevant information for the weekly updates to senior/ executive management.
• Assist in developing templates, processes and procedures for regular reporting requirements
• Monitor and report on the performance of the division against business objectives and targets.
• Ensure data validity is maintained and updated on the CHAMP Cargo system for weekly reporting and forecast.
• Ensure system reference data is up to date and data integrity/ accuracy for reporting is maintained at all times.
• Critically analyze and interpret industry data in relation to Fiji Airways Cargo KPIs and provide advice on current and emerging trends and issues.
• Assist the wider Freight Team in providing relevant data, airline statistics and reports for business cases, regulatory bodies and third parties.
• Work towards and support a culture of continuous improvement and work to make business and department improvements wherever possible.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Statistics, Economics, Finance or Information Systems from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 2 years work experience as an analyst or in similar positions is preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills and the willingness to adapt to a new learning environment.
• Sound working knowledge and skills in using analytical tools and systems
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and autonomously manage workload.
• Good organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels within the organization.
