Job Overview

Kokomo Resort Pte Limited is seeking an experienced Butler to be based at Kokomo Private Island, Kadavu.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take care of all VIP suite room guests and coordinate with all concerned departments to fulfil guest needs and requests
  • Fully aware of the Room Service and other outlets menu, answers questions on menu selections, communicates with the kitchen regarding menu questions and product availability
  • Keeps concerned departments informed about the guests allergies and food preferences
  • Takes care of the guest’s requests and liaise with respective departments: laundrywake-up callspa bookings, concierge and any special requests etc
  • Able to perform software operations like check-ins / check-outs, update profile, room reservations, requests, apply payment, verify and adjust billing, activate room keys, process check-out etc. on the hotel software
  • Informs housekeeping department the time desired for the daily cleaning and turn-down service
  • Serves the guests in a calm, discrete and courteous manner, respecting timing standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • Performs all his/her duties with a sense of priority and dedication.
  • Hosts and welcome all guests in a gracious and polite manner, and to have the ability to hold a conversation with the guest in a natural and spontaneous manner
  • Carries out checkout in an efficient manner, offering luggage assistance and transportation
  • Assist with residence and family security measures
  • Assists with planning and organizing parties and events in the residence
  • Knowledgeable about wines and spirits and oversees the wine cellar and liqueur inventory
  • Understands and strictly adheres to the Rules & Regulations of the Company and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.

Qualifications & Attributes

  1. Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality Management with minimum 3 years experience at a similar level of a 6-star luxury resort
  2. Problem-solving and “get it done” attitude.  Very “hands-on” and ready to pitch in
  3. Must have extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests
  4. Positive attitude and good communication skills, with excellent grooming standards
  5. Must be flexible with working hours
  6. Valid Group 2 Driving License is a must
