Audit Adviser (PPL)

On behalf of the Australian Government, the Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) is seeking an Audit Adviser to support PNG Power Limited (PPL) to assist and improve their audit processes and performance, also bringing financial audits up to date and compliant.

About you
You will be a motivated and proactive Audit Adviser with the right combination of talent and a commitment to technical excellence and possess the following skills/experience (including but not limited to):

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or other relevant discipline;
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in audit, financial management and preparing financial statements in medium/large corporations (preferably in a senior audit role);
  • Demonstrated experience with PNG accounting standards and best practice audit procedures;
  • Ability to become familiar with current financial processes quickly as well as identify opportunities to strengthen existing processes and procedures; and
  • Ability to develop constructive relationships, build trust and work effectively with a team as well as key stakeholders.
