Job Overview
Fiji Airways seeks to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive individual to fill the role of Assistant Lounge Manager.
Reporting to the Lounge Manager, the successful appointee will work as second in Charge of lounge operations to deliver the award winning services which the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge is known for.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively assists in all areas of daily operations to deliver the highest standards of products and services to guests.

Provides direction and assistance to the lounge staff.

Oversees amenity par levels and lounge cleanliness is maintained.

Upholds all Health and Safety regulations and maintains consistency in accident reporting ensuring that all documents are completed and up-to-date.

Works closely with the department purchasing team and duty managers regarding equipment and Food & Beverage stock levels

Briefs Duty Managers and team of any changes to service, product, training, forecasts ahead of time and maintains presence constantly throughout the shift.

Liaises with all concerned parties regarding VIP guests.

Be involved and contribute to contract negotiations for lounge access with both local and international partners.

Promotes the Premier Lounge and Fiji Airways products and assist guests with enquiries.

Prepare and understand budgets, revenue targets, prepare month end reports, cost and revenue analysis.

Manages effective cost control to minimize wastage and contributes innovative solutions to manage costs while maintaining product and service standards.

Proactively adheres to and upholds consistency in SOPs, service flows, processes and procedures.

Maintain and build on supplier and vendor relationships.

Stays up to date with modern trends and practices.

Undertakes general or special duties as required by the Lounge Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Management, Hospitality or Food and Beverage.

Holds current First Aid & CPR qualification.

Has in depth knowledge of food and beverage products, speciality coffees, cocktails, product costing, menu planning, wine and beverage lists and advanced knowledge of food allergens and dietary requirements.

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Food & beverage Manager or Outlet Manager in a 5-star restaurant or hotel.

Exceptional customer service and organisational skills with the ability to thrive working in a high pressure and busy environment.

Strong communicator and confident providing direction to team members.

Experience as a barista with cocktail mixing skills.

Ability to do shift work including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays.

High level of computer skills including Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.
