The Law Discipline is seeking appointment of one staff to its Professional Diploma in Legal Practice (PDLP) program. Teaching may be conducted both face-to-face and on-line mode. The position will be based at Tonga Campus in Tonga.
An Assistant Lecturer in Law (PDLP) in addition to teaching responsibilities will also assist with academic consultation and counseling of students. Teaching will be conducted in both face-to-face and on-line mode. The Appointee will be expected to contribute to good administration of the School in Tonga.
The Person We Seek
To be considered for any of this position, applicants must have:
– Masters in Law ;
– Substantial experience in legal practice in Tongan jurisdiction;
– Knowledge of law of Pacific Island jurisdictions;
– Sufficient Professional Legal experience as a litigator and some experience in management of a Law Office.
– Citizenship of a USP member country.
Preference will be given to applicants with:
– Postgraduate certificate in tertiary teaching (PGCTT) or equivalent;
– A record of publications.

This position is available for a fixed term period of one year.
Salary Range: Assistant Lecturer: TOP $ 63,123 to TOP 75,200 per annum
