The appointee will have the complex task of fulfilling USP, academic and professional staff needs to support research, education, and project management. The Administrative Assistant will be required to read and process documents to determine the required response/actions to be taken to support the PaCE-SD Director and staff which includes data processing, recording and file management with respect to the areas that he/she is involved in and flagging potential risks. The appointee is expected to liaise with a wide range of people, take a solution oriented, risk informed adaptive management.
The Person We Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
-A relevant degree with one (1) year of relevant work experience; or
-A relevant diploma and three (3) years of relevant work experience, specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
-A combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Compatible with MS Office functions.
-Experience in project management would be an added advantage; and
-Service oriented acumen with the ability to work in a diverse environment.

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range: FJ $27,336 to FJ $33,228 per annum
