Job Overview

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the month-end journal entries, review of trial
balance, month-end balance sheet reconciliations and other month-end reports; - Assist in group, local statutory and internal audits i.e. reviewing and preparing schedules for audit inquires; preparing year-end adjustments;
- Work with Group Financial Controller in annual budget preparation.
- Preparation of Cash Forecast and monitoring the treasury functions. Promptly communicate with Head of Finance to ensure surplus of cash/request for funding are organized to meet
the bank requirements. - Review and update of the Accounts Payable and ensure GL reconciliation is promptly executed.
- Working with the Group Financial Controller to ensure that there are effective and efficient financial processes and control in place to support the bank’s financial operations;
- Manage and coach staff to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting with experience in the finance sector will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of IFRIs standards
- Strong technical skills in financial and management accounting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong team spirit and a role model for the Accounts team
- Able to work independently, positive working attitude and maintain high quality and accuracy
- Flexible and ability to handle multiple priorities, willing to assist the team and firm at peak times
- Good organizational and time management skills; able to deal with urgent requests and meet deadlines
- Working experience in a global firm with exposure to multicurrency environment is an added advantage
