Based in Port Moresby and reporting to the Manager Technology Services, you will assist with efforts to ensure the operational effectiveness of the technology infrastructure and act as an escalation point and intermediary between end-users and the Technology team to ensure that business and user requirements are adequately met with the appropriate technology solution.
What are my key areas of focus?
• Provide specialised second and third-level support and technical assistance and monitor issue resolution to ensure issues are resolved within a timely manner.
• Perform basic problem diagnoses, correction and support to resolve issues as required, and escalate those that cannot be resolved to ensure resolutions are made within a timely manner.
• Undertake problem determination and root cause analysis as directed to ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented appropriately
• Ensure LAN, WAN and VPN connectivity and integrity is maintained at all times.
• Install, configure and maintain infrastructure systems, patches and upgrades.
• Evaluate and assist in the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions and support.
What do I need?
In order to perform this role successfully, you should have:
• Tertiary level qualifications in IT, Computer Science or relevant industry recognised certification.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar IT Support role.
• Proven skills and experience with Infrastructure Management, Data Centres and Communications & Networks.
• Technical skills in system design, system installation/decommissioning, solutions architecture and emerging technology monitoring.
• Be proactive, adaptable and able to work under pressure.
• Proven problem solving ability and interpersonal skills.
