This role reports to the Manager Technical Services and it is responsible to provide technical support for Maintenance and Production and to liaise closely with the Reliability Engineer and Systems Technical Services Engineers (TSE) to ensure that the requested support provided in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports Technical Services with interdepartmental issues such as resolving problems of competing priorities and workload.

Ensure effective communication within the team highlighting critical issues on a daily basis.

Promotes harmonious results with regard to maintaining schedule, airworthiness, safety, and reliability issues relating to the fleet.

Maintains effective support and advisory capacity in relation to technical problems, defects, reliability & safety related issues for the Base and Line Maintenance and Workshop and provide or request approved data as required.

Provides direct engineering support for all hangar and workshop in service issues (aircraft cabin, components, structural components including composites, engines, landing gear.

Provides engineering dispositions for all component hardware with discrepancies not covered by the OEM manuals. Directly interact with OEM engineering sources to resolve and document solutions.

Provides solutions to queries resulting from in-service aircraft systems problem trouble shooting.

Participate as a member of the Modifications Committee and Maintenance Review Group.

Carries out aircraft technical status monitoring with Event Tracking to view scheduled and upcoming maintenance events.

Carries out monitoring, in real time, the status of the fleet through Fleet tracker and OEM Aircraft Health Monitoring tools.

Liaises with OEM/Vendors on approved data to assist with defect rectifications and troubleshooting.

Reviews Oil consumption on a daily basis and review item history identifying system trends.

Provides technical and troubleshooting expertise, and conducting research and investigation to support the Engineering and Maintenance Department. This includes, but is not limited to, failures, defects, repairs, parts, overhaul, modifications, sampling programs, preventative, and condition monitoring program.

Performs any other duties assigned by the reporting Manager or section Coordinator.

Uses the total functionality of AMOS as required by the position to manage the role of TSE (Technical Support).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or
-
Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, with appropriate ratings
-
Additional appropriate experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement.

At least 4 years' experience in an Engineering environment,
-
In depth knowledge of aircraft systems as well as comprehensive understanding of the Engineering & Maintenance requirements of an aircraft,
-
Experience in using computer based maintenance control programs,

Excellent communications skills.
