About the Role
Based in Port Moresby, this position reports to the Manager Digital Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the team, ensuring resources are allocated for maximum availability, prompt resolution of issues, support, advice and assistance for the Bank’s Digital Hub Systems (Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, BSP Pay, Agency Banking, KunduPei , QuickPay and the BSP Web Sites).
Key Deliverables
- Ensure timely and effective technical support escalation of issues for all Digital Hub System.
- Responsible for managing the team’s day to day maintenance of the Digital Hub applications in operation including tasks related to monitoring, identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation and management communication. This includes but is not limited to technical, procedural, operational and functional issues.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Application Support, including in-depth technical analysis, troubleshooting root cause and engaging appropriate teams as required to drive Incident and Problem management for permanent solutions and improvements after root cause is identified.
- Provide competent technical advice, support and expertise, develop processes and procedures to ensure that supported Digital Hub Applications meet or exceed the agreed Service Level Agreements operational levels.
- Develop, document, maintain and regularly test Business Continuity Plan and processes for each supported Digital Hub Application and / or Disaster Recovery.
- Liaise with Users, relevant IT Teams and/or external support contractors to analyse and resolve user/technical issues affecting supported Digital Hub applications availability, providing timely, regular and accurate information on progress and resolution to key stakeholders.
- Retro-fit, test and implement upgrades, patches/fixes and releases from third party support, efficiently and effectively; ensure supplier’s patches/fixes are fully tested to confirm successful resolution and coordinate implementation from the Test environment to the Production environment.
- Create and maintain timely and accurate technical documentation of the Digital Hub Systems Delivery Channels and share the documents with relevant teams.
- Complete all assigned tasks, accurately & efficiently, within the time frames defined by the relevant Project Plan, Request for Change or Incident SLA. Ensure Change, Incident and Problem Management processes and procedures are followed and adhered to standards.
- Assist with Audit enquiries and ensure recommendations and tasks are carried within set timeframes; identified business risks are managed or mitigated according to processes, policies and guidelines.
- Ensure strict adherence to BSP’s Software Development Policy & Methodology, Information.
- Technology Change Management Policy & Process when implementing Digital Delivery Channel changes, patches/fixes and releases to the Production environment, including adherence to Project Management Life Cycle and System Development Life Cycle Methodologies.
Essential Qualifications, Professional/Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Information Technology or other related discipline
- Sound knowledge in System Development Life Cycle
- Sound knowledge in Software Development Methodologies and processes
- Good knowledge in Software Testing Methodologies and processes
- Good IT knowledge in Digital Banking Systems and delivery of projects.
- Good knowledge of MS Windows Operating System and MS Windows based applications
- Good knowledge of SQL Databases and queries
- Minimum 3 years in experience in a similar role and project management delivery
- Minimum 1 year experience in delivering projects to the business
