JOB TITLE: System Administrator
- A) RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide professional and technical support to manage, develop and enhance general system administration, specialized system administration, network administration, and cloud administration..
- Provide remote and on-site system administration for workstations, servers, and various network and infrastructure devices. This includes installation/imaging, patching, maintenance, troubleshooting and resolution..
- Ensure all servers, workstations, and various network and infrastructure devices adhere to security and compliance requirements. Performing configuration changes, conducting log analysis, system hardening, and managing/maintaining endpoint security compliance.
- Provide design, deployment, management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems in the below environments: Enterprise software distribution and management tools, Directory structure management, Virtualization infrastructure, Storage arrays, Endpoint security servers, and Databases.
- Assist with projects and installations when necessary.
Essential Functions
- Administration of MS Windows Server Active Directory environment.
- Support and troubleshoot network problems
- License management and backup management
- Design and plan LAN/ WAN network infrastructure.
- Administration, management and maintenance of LAN/ WAN network infrastructure.
- Administration, maintenance, and support of telephone systems.
- Cloud Data Backup Management.
- Creation of new user accounts including Active Directory and Phone/Voicemail setup.
- Generate reports for management including but not limited to web usage and phone reports.
- Workstation hardware/ software maintenance on a daily basis.
- Develop/ streamline procedures for frequently performed tasks
- Support of production IT equipment including Printers, Scanners, and PC's
- Check and respond to service requests. Complete in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and address/resolve network infrastructure issues.
- Troubleshoot all printer/ copier issues with outside vendor where necessary.
- Check all backup reports on daily basis. Ensures data is protected and report all anomalies.
- Assist IT department in keeping accurate information on network/software structures.
- Develop and create Standardized Work Instructions for tasks that department and associates using different hardware and software would use.
- Prepare annual budgets for the organization and provide monthly updates on actuals versus budget
- Evaluate and enhance internal controls, including risk assessments and regular review of risk areas.
- Facilitate the IT audit process with the internal and external auditors
- Provide recommendations on compliance and system aspects of the business as and when required.
- Deliver regular IT reports and analysis and present to the General Manager and Board and other stakeholders as and when requested/required.
B) SKILL SETS:
- Appropriate university degree in the IT discipline
- In-depth knowledge and experience of at least 5 years in the management of an IT environment.
- Ability to display advanced troubleshooting & fault analysis skills
- Skilled in handling interpersonal relationships tactfully.
- Highly motivated and organized. Quick to learn, with a keen eye for detail.

- Demonstrate excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
C) TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Sound knowledge of data networking including LAN, WAN, routers/firewalls, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs
- Competent in research for IT information gathering and development.
- Capable of performing data analytics.
